Secure Our Borders; This Is War
Millions of illegal immigrants have been arrested for crossing our border with Mexico. If that many were stopped how many actually got through?
Scary when you think about it. Some estimates say that thousands are pouring into the United States on a weekly basis. One has to wonder just how many are people from Mexico, and how many are terrorists from Al Quada. I guess we will never know the answer because recently we have done all but put up a sign saying, "Borders Unsecure: Come On In And Make Yourselves To Home!"
We have sent a message telling illegals that they do not have to fool with legalities, paperwork, and green cards. Just come on in here and take whatever you want. We have sent a message to the terrorists that we are sitting ducks and because of our "compassion" on the ones who seek a better life, we are not going to do a darn thing to stop the invasion of our homeland.
This policy is not only stupid but is frightening when you realize that since it is so easy for a Mexican illegal to cross over the borders, then think about how easy it would be for a Radical Muslim Terrorist carrying weapons of destruction to stroll on across?
Now before some of you politically correct left wing liberals get on your soapbox and start accusing me of racism, allow me to make something perfectly clear.
I have nothing against any law abiding, hard working person of any race, creed, or color who wants to enter our country for the purpose of having a better life coming to America, in fact that’s what America’s all about, so long as they do it legally. If I wanted to move to Jolly Old England, I would have to go through the legal channels with paperwork, the government, etc. And so it should be. Why should it be any different for Mexicans?
When people enter the United States illegally, they are starting off their new life in America by breaking the law. Now doesn't that make for a great role model for an upstanding citizen? NOT! I would love to see these left-wing liberals explain to their children how it is ok for people from Mexico to come here and break the law but it is not ok for legal residents to do so. The fact remains we are sending out a message that it's ok to break the law when we do not secure our borders and fail to hunt them down and punish them. We have become a mockery to the rest of the world when we can't control who comes into our Nation.
Many say we can't control the endless flow of illegal immigrants that are flooding into our country but this argument is ludicrous. What it actually comes down to is that we have not been willing to devote the money, manpower, and resources into solving this problem.
We must hold the employers accountable and punish them severely when they willingly hire those who do not have the proper documentation to work here. We need to levy huge fines and perhaps loss of business's for people who continue to violate the law by hiring illegals. That would put a stop to this real fast!
I am sick of seeing unemployed Americans who have to resort to going on federal aid because some corporate boss has given jobs to illegals in order to save some bucks. In the end it is the taxpayer who loses when welfare payments are doled out to those who can't find employment because some idiot decided he wanted to hire illegal aliens.
Politicians on both sides of the room are too busy pandering for the large Hispanic vote, that they are not about to take a chance on losing it by taking measures to pass legislation to secure our borders and then making sure it is enforced!
This problem is only going to get worse until we say "I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore" and make sure our elected representatives get the job done!
If we do not take this problem seriously, and take drastic measures to secure our borders, then we are going to end up paying the price big time! And when we do there will be a mad dash in Washington as politicians vie for sound bite time to tell the American public just how deplorable things have been on the border and just how much to blame the opposing party is and let the world know that they are sponsoring a bill to close down the border and make sure that this will never happen again.
It is time to close the door and stop singing, "Who Let The Dogs Out!"
I propose that we write to our politicians and tell them that if they want our vote, then they best get off their butts and do something about this immediately. I say we need to send military troops all along the border with orders to take whatever action is needed, including gun fire if it becomes necessary to turn back these swarms of locusts that seek to devour our freedom.
Sounds a little harsh, you might say? Well, just remember, that next swarm of locusts could be Al Quada coming in with bombs ready to place in the shopping mall to blow it sky high when your children are spending a Saturday there shopping. If that happens then maybe you won't say I am being too harsh!
